"The data is sourced from chips." Chips are the core foundational technology of the new generation of information technology applications. Silicon-based photonic integrated chips exhibit the advantages of small size, high integration, low power consumption, and compatibility with microelectronic CMOS processes. They are expected to drive breakthroughs in optoelectronic and microelectronic chips in the "post-Moore's Law era".

To meet the requirements of miniaturization, low power consumption, and high capacity in photonic integrated chips, PhotonMind team is conducting research on optoelectronic integrated devices and chips, focusing on two scientific issues: light field control and coupling in on-chip nanostructures and enhancement of light field interaction between multiple materials. They provide core components support for the next generation of coherent optical communication and optical phased array.

PhotonMind team has advanced device testing equipment and conducts optoelectronic integrated chip processing and testing work based on the National Key Laboratory of Advanced Optical Communication Systems and Center for Advanced Electronic Materials and Devices (AEMD) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
